YMCA baseball and t-ball leagues are designed to help players learn basic skills such as batting, catching, throwing and the rules of the game. All kids are encouraged to play by getting equal chances to bat, run bases and play in the field. Our coaches emphasize participation, skill-building, sportsmanship, teamwork, fitness, friendship, family involvement and fun.  Find teams across Seattle and King County from Auburn to Bellevue and beyond.

YMCA youth sports encourage and promote healthy kids, families, and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, team-building as well as individual development, a positive self-image and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others. Parents are encouraged to be more than mere spectators, by contributing their time as volunteer coaches—as well as being their kid’s greatest fan.

Youth Baseball and T-Ball leagues are typically offered in the spring and summer.

Minis

Minis t-ball is the perfect introduction to baseball for kids age 3 to 5! It is an instructional and recreational 8-class youth t-ball program designed for preschoolers to have fun while learning rules and skills of the game. Kids practice the fundamentals of t-ball like throwing and catching the ball, batting off the tee, and in most cases, going the right way around the baseball diamond through fun drills and games. The focus in this program is on inclusion, teamwork, sportsmanship and building confidence.

Minis do not play official games or keep score, it is all about fun and learning! All teams are co-ed and led by YMCA staff. This program requires parental involvement to help encourage the most fun and participation. Practices with scrimmages are held once per week. Each player gets a YMCA uniform top to wear on and off the field.

Minors

Calling all Kindergartners and 1st graders to the plate! In this recreational youth baseball league, players learn the fundamentals of baseball, sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy habits while sharpening batting, catching and throwing skills, practicing drills and having fun.

We practice once per week and play six games per season against other teams, but we do not keep score, it is all about fun and learning! All teams are led by volunteer coaches. Parental involvement, whether as a team volunteer, cheerleader or a coach, is a key to success. Each player gets a YMCA uniform top to wear on and off the field.

Majors

Our Majors League helps kids in second and third grades take their baseball skills to the next level and experience constructive competition. Players in this youth baseball league continue to build skills like batting, throwing and trying out each of the different field positions.

We practice once per week and play six games per season. All teams are led by volunteer coaches. Parental involvement, whether as a team volunteer, cheerleader or coach, is a key to success. Each player gets a YMCA uniform top to wear on and off the field.
