Manny leads virtual youth development programs, including the Y's Virtual Youth Basketball Academies, Play Zone, and provides on-demand videos on basketball in our Enrichment Emporium. Kids love his energy and parents appreciate how he easily engages kids in learning, movement, and fun.

Manny's Basketball Experience

Manny led his high school team freshman and sophomore year in scoring and rebounding. He got a full scholarship to Louisiana State University in Shreveport where he was an All American and First team All Conference leading his team to 14 points per game, shooting 42% from three during his junior year.

Manny then went on to play professionally overseas in Australia and semi-pro in Seattle for the Seattle Mountaineers for the last five years.  Manny also played in the summer leagues with many NBA players such as Stephen Curry, Isiah Thomas, Jamal Crawford. Aaron Gordan, and many many more.

Manny brings a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience to the Y's youth sports virtual programs. He understands the fundamentals of basketball and the importance of the “little things” to help players improve their game.

Virtual Youth Basketball Academy

Get in the game! Basketball Skills Academy virtually welcomes kids, ages 8 to 13, to practice the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, offense and defense through fun games and drills. Led by Manny in a virtual format, our sports academy curriculum is centered on building skills and helping kids feel confident when they get back on the court.
