From learning leadership in the open waters of the San Juan Islands to climbing to the top both physically and mentally with a teen wilderness expedition, you’ll find activities that fit your family’s needs and busy schedule.
Teen Leadership Expeditions with BOLD & GOLD
BOLD & GOLD expeditions will take you to the most beautiful places across the Pacific Northwest while also providing flexibility through various options in trip length, physicality and travel sites. Each summer a vast range of teens come to explore with different outdoor experience ranging from seasoned backpackers to first-time adventurers. One thing is for certain, the teens that get to experience an expedition, be it one week or three, leave their experience with newfound courage, personal growth and a deeper of understanding of what it means to lead their peers.
Camp Orkila San Juan Kayaking
While BOLD & GOLD focuses on climbing, backpacking, and sight-seeing on land, Camp Orkila’s kayaking expeditions show teens the beauty of water throughout the San Juan Islands. Expeditioners will learn the basics of kayaking with their peers before they set off to explore with trained staff. Whether you participate in one week or two, these trips offer the perfect blend of familiarity by beginning and ending the voyage at Camp Orkila, while still gaining independence and confidence through the adventurers in between.
Adventures Close to Home with Trek and Quest Day Camps
Whether it’s friends, work or their own personal style, some teens prefer to stay close to home for the summer. Luckily, Washington is bustling with fun sights to see, unique experiences and fun camp activities both on land and in the water. With dozens of locations ranging from Snoqualmie to Auburn, Trek and Quest offer flexibility that aligns with you and your teen’s busy schedules. These unique day camps offer exciting fields trips filled with adventure, independence and the opportunity to make friends with peers they might not normally get the chance to meet.
