Active Older Adults (AOA) at the YMCA of Greater Seattle build relationships and create a network of friends who provide support for overall health and well-being. We’ve got a full line-up of virtual and in-person activities designed specifically for our AOA friends, plus other great programs like virtual cooking classes or lap swim that we think you'll enjoy! Virtual 

  • Live & Virtual Group Fitness Classes | Ongoing
    Join us for online AOA classes including Cardio & Balance, Strength, Chair Yoga, and Dance Fitness from the comfort of home with virtual Y. Many are offered free on Facebook Live. Learn more >

    Ditch the packets of processed seasonings and make your own instead! We will prepare several seasoning blends and show how to use them at meal time. Learn more >

In-Person

  • Lap Swim | Ongoing
    Swim, water walk, or practice your own water aerobics routine! Reserve a lap lane at your local Y. Learn more >
     
  • Cardio & Strength | Ongoing
    Drop-in to your local Y to use cardio machines or strength equipment. Learn more > 
     
  • Group Exercise Classes | Ongoing
    Get moving together! Group exercise classes at local Ys across King County. Make a reservation two days prior. Learn more > 
     
  • Net Sports | Ongoing
    Up to six people from different households can reserve space in the gym to play a game of badminton or pickleball. Learn more > 
     
  • Gym Time | Ongoing
    Up to six people from the same household can reserve half a court to play together with equipment from home or borrowed from us. All participants must be in the same household and on the same membership to use a Gym Time reservation. Reservations will be 50 minutes long. Learn more >
