Our congratulations go to Franklin High School which has won the 2018 National Mock Trial Championships!

The team came out on top of a field of 46 teams including Guam, South Korea, and State Champion teams from across the country.  In Mock Trial, teens work with legal professionals in their community to develop an understanding of real-life case law and the role of the court system in a democratic society. As part of a competitive team, high school students develop caring relationships with their peers, gain skills in oral advocacy, research and critical thinking. 

For the last 70 years, the YMCA’s Youth & Government team has been empowering teens to find their voice and develop their needs to fulfill their potential.
