Active Older Adults (AOA) at the YMCA of Greater Seattle build relationships and create a network of friends who support overall health and well-being. At the Y, we’ve prioritized our older adults' Whole Person Health by providing programs like group fitness classes, walking clubs, and health and nutrition classes. These classes focus on mobility, flexibility, safety, and overall health. Our AOA members also experience a strong sense of belonging and increased self-confidence through an array of fun, safe programs like social events, excursions, and volunteer activities.

Community Cafés

Active Older Adult (AOA) Community Cafés bring together those who are 55+ to build health in spirit, mind, and body so that we thrive with greater purpose, connection, and well-being. Each café includes time for a resource person to share, pose, and answer questions in a discussion space facilitated for support and encouragement. Let your emotional and intellectual responses guide your exploration of each chosen topic.

Personalized Wellness Plan

A personalized wellness plan is a free one-time meeting with a health coach who works with you to identify your strengths and opportunities. You will create an individualized plan that will help you get the most out of your YMCA membership and achieve the goals that motivated you to join the Y.
