The Bellevue Family Y is partnering with the Bellevue Rotary to dedicate a Peace Pole on the International Day of Peace this September 21. To celebrate, we'll be holding a poster contest with cash prizes up to $100.

The theme for this poster contest is, "Peace Begins With Us." Kiddos are invited to express what peace means to them in any of these eight languages, plus braille, that you can find on our Peace Pole: Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and English.

Please bring your poster to the Bellevue Family Y before 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 16 to be entered to win. We'll announce the winners on Tuesday, September 21, at the Bellevue Family Y during our Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony. Posters will also be exhibited at the Welcoming Week Community Connections Fair on September 18 at Crossroads Park, at Bellevue Rotary events, and on social media.

Please stop by to see the Peace Pole on September 21 and reflect on what peace means to you and our community. We can’t wait to see you and celebrate International Day of Peace.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Bellevue Rotary at peacebuilding@bellevuerotary.net or 505-610-0707.
