Masks, Vaccines, and Safety at the Y

Your safety is our highest priority. Our mask and vaccine policy is based on local, state, and federal mandates. Thank you for all that you do to help keep yourself, our staff, and our community safe at the Y.
We recommend bookmarking this page, as the Y will be updating it often as new information, guidelines and policies emerge.
Mask Policy
YMCA locations:
Masks are optional for members, program participants, staff, volunteers, and guests in our 13 Ys across our region. Masks are welcomed and strongly recommended in our Ys, but will no longer be required. Our mask guidance is consistent with local, state, and federal guidelines.
YMCA Early Education Centers, YMCA Before and After School Enrichment, and YMCA Camping and Outdoor Leadership:
Masks are strongly recommended, but not required for staff, children, families, and guests unless otherwise posted.
YMCA Social Impact Center:
Staff, volunteers, and participants in health care and behavioral health programs are required to wear masks when working in person with clients. Masks are optional for staff, volunteers, participants, and guests in all other YMCA Social Impact Center programs unless otherwise posted.
Vaccine Policy
YMCA locations:
Vaccine verification is not required for members and guests in our 13 Ys across our region. In compliance with state mandates, staff and volunteers working in Kids Zone and Kids Club are required to demonstrate proof of vaccination. Staff and volunteers in all other areas of our Ys are not required to demonstrate proof of vaccination.
YMCA Early Education Centers and YMCA Before and After School Enrichment:
All YMCA staff, volunteers, and contractors are required to demonstrate proof of vaccine verification in compliance with the Governor’s proclamation on August 20, 2021. Vaccine verification is not required for children, families, and guests.
YMCA Camping and Outdoor Leadership:
Effective May 3, 2022, all summer campers, staff and volunteers must either be up to date with and show proof of Covid-19 vaccinations OR receive a negative Covid-19 test no more than 72 hours prior to arrival at camp.
YMCA Social Impact Center:
