Get ready for an action-packed camp full of opportunities to make new friends, learn leadership skills, and go on new adventures every day. This camp is designed to help teens work together to gain better decision making and conflict resolution skills, experience character building activities, and encourage positive values all while discovering something new about themselves. Led by some cool counselors, campers will reach their peak together through time outdoors in team-building, group games, and community service projects.

What days and hours is Peak Camp offered?

Peak Camp runs Monday–Friday from 9:00 am–4:00 pm.

We also offer Extended Camp at no additional cost to participants in Peak Camp which consists of supervised activities and structured programs​ before and after the camp day. 

Hours for Extended Camp start at 7:30 am and end at 5:30 pm.

Important Dates: 

  • Most camps run from June 20 - August 26.
  • There is no camp on July 4.
  • Camps at Camp Keller and the Kent Y starts on June 22 due to school calendars.
  • Camp at the Auburn Valley Y runs from June 27 to September 2 due to school calendars.
Is my child the right age for Peak Camp?

If your child is in entering grades 6-8 in the fall, then yes, they can be a Peak Camp camper! 

How soon can I sign my camper up for Peak Camp?

Registration opens on Wednesday, February 2 at 6:00 am for the entire summer.

Weekly camp registration closes on the Wednesday prior to the camp session at 5:00 pm. For example, for camp starting on July 11, registration would close on July 6 at 5:00 pm.

Does the Y offer scholarships or financial assistance for Peak Camp?

Yes, the Y is committed to ensuring all families have access to quality and enriching camp programs. The Y provides financial assistance and a sliding fee schedule.

What is the fee to participate in Peak Camp?
  • Five-day weekly fees: $350 for Facility Members or $400 for Community Members.
  • Four-day weekly fees: $280 for Facility Members and $320 for Community Members (week of July 4 only).
  • Three-day weekly fees: $210 for Facility Members and $240 for Community Members (only for week one in the Kent & Snoqualmie programs which start on June 22 due to last day of school schedules in these districts).

A deposit of $15 per week, per camper is due upon registration. Payments draft on the Saturday two weeks prior to each camp session. For example, for camp starting on July 11, payment would be draft on July 2.

How will my camper get to the various field trip and service locations?

Peak campers will travel most days to a variety of locations including parks, beaches, local attractions, and more. Campers will be transported in either Y mini buses by certified Y camp counselors or in larger school buses driven by CDL drivers (often school year drivers from local districts.)

How are you navigating Covid-19 at summer day camp?

We know that camp is a magical time for kids and are committed to bringing opportunity for discovery, enrichment, and play to kids across our region this summer. We also know that safety is a shared top priority for you and us!  

Our day camp offerings featured here follow the most current recommendations from the American Camp Association, YMCA of the USA, and those of our local, state, and federal government agencies. This guidance can change frequently, and we will adjust our camp programs to match current recommendations. We will keep this website up-to-date and communicate with you along the way.
