In martial arts classes, learn physical and mental discipline, develop concentration, and practice the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Martial arts contributes to increased physical strength, flexibility, balance, control, discipline, and spirituality. Students train with others at their own skill level progressing from basic stances, punches, blocks, and kicks to the study of more advanced patterns of movement and defense objectives.

Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean Martial Art that uses bare feet and hands. All Tae Kwon Do students learn punches, blocks and self-defense techniques, but kicks are the Tae Kwon Do trademark. Each class is a fun and exciting way to build confidence, strength and discipline through the teachings of this ancient practice.
