The YMCA of Greater Seattle has a vision that one day, all kids, families, adults and seniors in the Greater Seattle Area will have equitable opportunities to improve their health, well-being and reach their full potential. Together at 13 Y branches, two overnight camps and hundreds of program sites across King and south Snohomish County, we’re tackling our community’s most urgent needs – giving people hope for a better future, and the means to achieve it.

Snoqualmie Valley YMCA 2019 Annual Philanthropy Goal: $195,000

The Snoqualmie Valley Y is working to meet Seattle’s most urgent needs by creating opportunities for everyone to improve health and reach their full potential. With your support, the Snoqualmie Valley Y will be able to impact the local community through various programs including:

Kids University and Summer Camp - More than 80 kids are provided assistance to access our high-quality care before and after school, and during the summer. We engage the children intellectually and socially as they engage in active play and collaborate on projects. $30,000

Play EveryDAY - A “play coach” provides fun group games during lunch recess, which are designed to focus on youth gaining the competence and confidence they need to regularly engage in physical activity. $25,000

Teen Leadership Programs - The YMCA provides leadership development programs free of charge to teens in the Snoqualmie Valley. These programs include Youth & Government and Earth Service Corps, which is provided in partnership with Two Rivers School. $15,000

Community Shower Program - Community members access our private shower bathrooms. We provide soap, shampoo, combs and other grooming supplies. $15,000.
