Happening Now

  • Annual Fund Drive: Help tell the Y story and advocate for what you care about during our Annual Fund Drive. Find volunteer and donations resources here, or donate to the Y today. Learn more >

  • Volunteer With the Y: We've posted new opportunities this week, including Social Impact Center Cook a Meal and Coal Creek Family YMCA Backpack Meal Programs. Learn more >

  • Outdoor Climbing: The climbing towers at our Northshore and Auburn Valley Y's are now open. Members can make a reservation for a 90-minute climb, and everyone can join us for a guided climb with instructors. Registration for guided climbs opens on March 24. Learn more >

  • Lose to Win: Achieve your desired weight loss by learning accountability, planning, and problem-solving measures all while receiving group and coaching support. Registration is open for upcoming virtual sessions. Learn more >

  • Outdoor Adventure Day Trips: The Y offers a variety of outdoor day trips for teens and families! No previous experience is necessary. Join us for hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. Learn more >

Saturday, April 10

  • Healthy Kids Day! Join us for a FREE day of virtual fun all with the theme of supporting happy, healthy, active kids. Activities include a virtual 5k, class and program demonstrations, a family service project, Goose Chase virtual scavenger hunt, and giveaways too. Learn more >

Beginning Monday, April 12

  • Locker Rooms Open to All: Showers and locker rooms at all branches except the University Family Y will open to members in accordance with guidance for Phase 3 of the Healthy Washington Plan.

Beginning April 19

  • Group Swim Lessons: In April, Swim Basics will launch for kids and teens. This program focuses on learning basic swim skills, improving water safety, and building confidence in the water. Save the date: registration opens March 15. Learn more >

For Members

  • Gym Time: Up to six people from the same household can reserve half a court to play together with equipment from home or borrowed from us. All participants must be in the same household and on the same membership to use a Gym Time reservation. Learn more >

  • Net Sports: Up to six people from different households can reserve space in the gym to play a game of badminton or pickleball. Learn more >

  • Classes in the Virtual Y: The Virtual Y allows members to participate in live online classes and browse on-demand content from the comfort of home. Login to the Virtual Y using your email address today! Learn more >

  • Lap Swimming: Lap lanes are open for two swimmers at a time. Lanes are first-come, first-served, and we ask members of the same household to share a lane. See reservation times, or learn more >

  • Group Exercise Classes: Group exercise classes are back! Join us for Zumba, Yoga, Active Older Adult classes, and much more. Classes are socially distanced and masks are required. See reservation times >

  • Drop-In Cardio, Strength, and Free Weight Equipment: Equipment includes treadmills, rowers, stationary bikes, free weights, and resistance-based stationary machines. Check branch hours >

  • Swim Lessons: Registration opens at 6:00 am on the 15th of every month. All swim levels are welcome! Learn more >

  • Family Recreational Swim: Up to five people in a household can reserve time in the pool for a friendly family swim. Spend your afternoon with us this weekend. See reservation times, or learn more >

  • Cooking Classes: Our instructor will guide you through recipes providing tips and answering questions along the way. Classes are hosted online. They're FREE for members or $20 for community members. Learn more >

  • Martial Arts: Take Tae Kwon Do virtually! Students learn punches, blocks, and self-defense techniques, but kicks are the Tae Kwon Do trademark. Learn more >

 

Family Highlights

  • Kids Club Pilot Program: At the Dale Turner Family, Sammamish Community, and West Seattle Family Y's, we're welcoming back kids ages 2 to 9 with Kids Club. This monthly, reservation-based care program is designed to keep kids active and entertained while you get a worry-free workout. Learn more >

Camping and Outdoor Adventures

  • Outdoor Adventure Day Trips: The Y offers a variety of outdoor day trips for teens and families! No previous experience is necessary. Join us for hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. Learn more >

  • Spring Family Camps at Colman and Orkila: Starting in April, join us for a special series of Family Camps featuring traditional camp activities like archery, boating, arts & crafts, hiking, outdoor environmental education, and campfires. Fee include nutritious meals and cabin lodging. Learn more >

  • Y Cabin Rentals: Explore the outdoors together! Join us for a physically-distanced campout this spring. Rentals are available at both Camp Colman and Camp Orkila. Learn more >

  • Outdoor Leadership (BOLD & GOLD): Boys & Girls Outdoor Leadership (BOLD & GOLD) experiences are geared specifically for young people ages 11 to 18. Classes, events, and resources below include FREE or non-member options for all. You don't need a membership to use them.

  • Counseling Services: We are proud to announce that we now offer virtual and in-person counseling services for all ages. Services include mental health support, substance use counseling, family therapy, and more. Learn more >

  • On-Demand Workouts and Wellness Resources: In our Healthy Living Room, use our library of on-demand videos to workout on your schedule. Plus, find recipes, mindfulness exercises, and other wellness resources. Learn more >

  • Activities and Games for Families: Bring the Y's education and enrichment activities into your home. Add variety and creativity into days without school, child care, or work through our virtual family room. Learn more >

  • Virtual Community Cafés: Come together in a virtual space for conversations that we typically enjoy in-person, but find are less available these days.
