From birth to graduation, the Y is here to support kids, teens, and families as they learn, grown, and thrive! This fall, we’ve got a full line-up of virtual and in-person enrichment and education activities.

Plus, new on-demand activities are added weekly into our virtual Family Room!

Infant, Toddlers & Preschool

  • Early Learning Centers
    Our infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-Kindergarten care programs are enriching, positive places that nurture children to explore, discover, and learn. Programs offered in Auburn, Bothell, North Seattle, and West Seattle. 

  • Family Circle Time «
    Let’s read, sing, and dance! This live and interactive virtual family class will feature a story time with a book read by an engaging Y staff person plus songs, sharing, and silly dancing, all around a fun theme. This program is geared toward preschoolers. Free for Y members. Learn more > 

  • Family STEM Explorers «
    Kids and parents will love our virtual Family STEM Explorer classes. Get silly with Jell-O or be amazed with rainbow jars! This program is geared toward preschoolers. Free for Y Members. Learn more > 

Elementary 

  • Y LEAP Academy - School Support & Enrichment
    A full-day, in-person program that ensures kids have a safe, supportive place to connect, access to their distance learning classrooms, and enrichment opportunities.  Learn more >
     
  • After School in a Box «
    Make the most of after-school time with virtual enrichment activities that encourage skill-building and creative exploration in a supportive environment. Sessions start October 19 and November 23. Learn more >
     
  • Play Zone «
    Play Zone connects kids virtually after school with a daily drop-in, play-based program geared towards students in kindergarten to 3rd grade that promises to engage with silly games and fun projects. It brings what the Y knows best about after-school child care into the home virtually to help parents bridge the gap between the end of the school day and dinner time.   • Private Swim Lessons
    Join us in the pool to refine your stroke, practice your breathing rhythm, or elevate your turns! Since our instructors will be teaching from the pool edge, participants must be able to swim 25 yards on their own. Learn more > 
     
  • Kids in the Kitchen «
    Join us every week for a virtual cooking class, for ages 5 to 8. Our instructor will guide kids through recipes teaching age-appropriate cooking skills, providing tips, and answering questions. Free for Y members. Learn more >
     
  • Recess «
    Virtual recess is designed to help elementary school kids get the wiggles out through Y staff-led games, activities, fitness classes, and more. This weekly virtual class meets on Monday afternoons from 4:00 – 4:45pm. Free for Y Members. Learn more >
     
  • Kids Outdoor Rock Climbing
    This introductory series to rock climbing is perfect for kids who want to learn the basics. We will cover skills such as climbing safety and equipment, climbing technique, climbing commands, and knot tying. Choose from locations in Auburn, Bothell, or Snoqualmie. New sessions start in October. Ages 5+. Learn more >
     
  • Martial Arts «
    Take Tae Kwon Do virtually! Students learn punches, blocks, and self-defense techniques, but kicks are the Tae Kwon Do trademark. Session starts September 29 and November 10. Learn more >

    Get away this fall by renting a cabin at Camp Orkila! Take a break from social isolation and all things virtual at home and explore our world-renowned camp in a fun and safe family camp out.   • Family Group Exercise Classes
    Get moving in a family group exercise class! Try Outdoor Family Bootcamp at the Dale Turner Family YMCA in Shoreline, Kent YMCA, or Northshore YMCA in Bothell. Ages 8+. Free for Y members. Learn more >

    The Puget Sound is home to amazing outdoor spaces, and it’s an excellent place for single-day outdoor adventures. With a fully-stocked gear library and expert staff, we have all the equipment and expertise to take you hiking, natural rock climbing, canoeing, or kayaking — no experience necessary!   • Teen Talks «

  • Youth Legislature «
    Become familiar with the legislative process, the art of debate, and public speaking, all online from home!  Alongside their peers, students will have the opportunity to study current issues, draft legislative bills, debate topics that are important to them, and assume the roles of various elected officials.  Program starts in late October and runs for 8 months.   • Earth Service Corp «
    Our planet's future depends on us. In Earth Service Corps, teens meet virtually to take on the environmental issues facing their communities, hear from guest speakers, and create projects to address these needs. Learn more >
