From birth to graduation, the Y is here to support kids, teens, and families as they learn, grow, and thrive! We’ve got a full line-up of virtual and in-person enrichment and education activities.

Plus, new on-demand activities are added weekly into our virtual Family Room! Virtual programs are designated as such.

Family

  • Family Recreational Swim Reservation
    Up to five people in a household can reserve time in the pool for Family Recreational Swim! The pool will be divided into four quadrants and no more than 20 people will be in the pool at a time. Learn more >

  • Family Climbing Reservation
    The whole family is encouraged to climb together at one of our towers! All safety gear, including helmets, is provided. YMCA climbing staff will be present for the duration of the 90 minute reservation. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult who is on the same membership and lives in the same household.   • Family Time Reservation
    Reserve time in our Kids Zone spaces to play together. Each reservation is 45 minutes long, and families must be part of the same household membership. Learn more >
     
  • Family Climbing Classes
    Take your family on a vertical adventure! This series, for kids ages 5+ with an adult, covers climbing safety, equipment, technique, commands, and knot tying plus fun games and challenges. Adults can also learn to belay. Learn more >

Infant, Toddlers & Preschool

  • Kids Club Reservation
    Combine the well-loved aspects of Kids Zone with new safety protocols and you get Kids Club, a monthly reservation-based program that keeps kids ages 2 to 9 in stable, small groups learning and playing while you work out! Available at selection locations. Learn more >

  • Kids Create - Minis
    This art series gives kids the opportunity to express their creativity through various mediums. Drawing, painting, and craft projects encourage imaginations to flourish and inspire self-confidence and individuality. A different theme and activity is featured every week. Learn more >

  • Sports Sampler - Minis 
    Sports Sampler is the perfect introduction to team sports! Featuring a new sport each week, kids learn basic skills and components through a variety of fun drills and games while focusing on building teamwork, body control, and hand-eye coordination. Learn more >

  • Youth Futsal - Minis
    Led by Y staff, Minis Futsal is an instructional and recreational 8-class youth futsal program designed for preschoolers to have fun while learning rules and skills of the game. Kids practice the fundamentals of soccer like dribbling, shooting, passing and in most cases, going the right way down the court through fun drills and games.  Learn more >

  • Youth Basketball - Minis
    Led by Y staff, Minis basketball is an instructional and recreational 8-class youth basketball program designed for preschoolers to have fun while learning rules and skills of the game.   • Group Swim Lessons - Swim Basics Program
    Swim Basics, or stages 1 to 3, develops personal water safety and basic swimming skills in students from ages 3 to 16. Swimmers develop a high level of comfort in the water by practicing safe water habits, engaging in underwater exploration, and learning how to swim to safety and exit if they fall into a body of water.   • Group Swim Lessons - Swim Strokes Program
    Swim Strokes, or stages 4 to 6, builds stroke technique and additional water safety skills for students ages 5 to 16! This program focuses on introducing and refining six swim strokes: front crawl, breaststroke, back stroke, butterfly, sidestroke, and elementary backstroke.  Learn more >

  • Private Swim Lessons
    Join us in the pool to refine your stroke, practice your breathing rhythm, or elevate your turns! Since our instructors will be teaching from the pool edge, participants must be able to swim 25 yards on their own or a supervising adult will need to be in the pool. Learn more > 

  • Birthday Party in a Box (Virtual)
    Go virtual with the experts in birthday parties! Our Birthday Party in a Box kits make online parties awesome for kids and easy for parents. With seven super-fun themes, there's something for everyone. Learn more >
     
  • Early Learning Centers
    Our infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-Kindergarten care programs are enriching, positive places that nurture children to explore, discover, and learn. Programs offered in Auburn, Bothell, North Seattle, and West Seattle with new centers opening soon in Woodinville and Redmond. Learn more >

    This hands-on cooking series is the perfection introduction to cooking for kids ages 5 to 8. Experience a blend of education, nutrition and fun with new recipes each week.   • Future Chefs
    Your tween will be prepared to make meals for the whole family after taking Future Chefs! Culinary skills such as dicing, sautéing, kneading, and baking are integrated into this challenging and fun cooking series. Learn important nutrition facts and how to build a well-rounded meal with new recipes each week. Learn more >
     
  • Kids Create

  • Ballet
    Ballet at the Y inspires a love for dance, music and movement. Students will learn the basic techniques of ballet, focusing on floor and barre work, and begin to use ballet vocabulary. Instructors encourage the awareness of movement and line and help dancers build balance, grace, poise and confidence. Learn more >
     
  • Badminton
    Kids get active and have tons of fun while learning basic Badminton swings, footwork, and rules of the game. This class also focuses on inclusion, sportsmanship, and building confidence. Racquets, nets, and shuttlecocks are provided. Learn more >
     
  • Tae Kwon Do
    Tae Kwon Do is a Korean Martial Art that uses bare feet and hands. Students learn punches, blocks and self-defense techniques, but kicks are the Tae Kwon Do trademark. Each class is a fun and exciting way to build confidence, strength, and discipline through the teachings of this ancient practice. Learn more >

    Get in the game! In our Basketball Skills Academy, kids learn the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing, offense, and defense through fun games and drills.   • Futsal Skills Academy
    Hit the back of the net in our Futsal Skills Academy! Players sharpen techniques for dribbling and passing through practice drills and having fun.   • Volleyball Skills Academy
