Kids laughing and running at school

With summer waning to autumn, school is beginning again across our communities. Backpacks, school supplies, and ensuring healthy, available food for all kids is top of mind for us. A growing number of families across our communities are struggling with the stressful and overwhelming costs of back to school supplies.

For some students, going back to school can create severe anxiety. This is often made worse by the lack of critical school supplies vital to a student’s success. In turn, this leads to feelings of low self-esteem or failing grades.

Whether Isabella needs a backpack. Jacob needs a before and school program to engage his brain and body, or Diego needs help enrolling in advanced-level classes and applying for college, the Y ensures each of them, and thousands more kids just like them, are ready for success throughout the school year.

Come back to school together with us, and donate to ensure that all kids are supported in our region.

The Y is where we provide for kids during the school year by:

•    Offering backpacks for kids meal programs: providing food stability
•    Providing before and after school programs and child care: serving over 5,000 kids each day
•    Awarding scholarships and support for students of color through our Y-Scholars program
•    Addressing childhood obesity through our PlayEVERYDAY program
•    Setting up Mock Trial and Youth Legislative to help hundreds of teens draft legislation

We serve thousands of kids and teens each day. Our PlayEVERYDAY program gives more than 500 elementary school students an opportunity to learn health lifestyle choices and social skills. We address hunger by filling backpacks with healthy snacks. We address the growing need for child care and also offer after-school enrichment programs.
We are committed to ensuring every child is set up for success during the school year. Will you help, too?

Give today to help a student succeed in school.
