150 Mark with Baseball Background

This year, the YMCA of Greater Seattle marks 150 years of impact across our region and in Seattle. For generations, Y staff, volunteers, partners, donors, members, and community organizations have helped shape a stronger, more connected community.

Now, we are excited to spend this special moment together.

Join us for YMCA Staff Appreciation Day at the Mariners, a joyful celebration of the people and nonprofit partners who show up every day to create belonging, connection, opportunity, and positive impact across the greater Seattle region.

Let’s Hear It for the Home Team

For 150 years, YMCA of Greater Seattle staff have helped bring our mission to life. Every day, they:

... lead swim lessons that promote water safety and build confidence
... coach youth sports that teach teamwork and keep kids active
... help toddlers take their first steps and seniors continue to take their next
... lead those seeking better health outcomes through motivating routines
... offer mental health support to navigate life’s challenges
... provide food assistance to families facing food insecurity
... promote belonging and connect members with access to vital resources

They are the ❤️ of our mission. This year, as we celebrate 150 years of Y impact, it is our turn to cheer them on.

A Celebration for Staff, Partners, and Community

Staff Appreciation Day is more than a day at the ballpark. It is a regional celebration of Y impact and the many people and organizations who have helped shape our first 150 years and will help build the next 150.

We are proud to celebrate alongside nonprofit partners, community members, volunteers, donors, and friends of the Y who share our commitment to helping people and communities thrive.

For 150 years, the YMCA of Greater Seattle has helped create spaces where people can connect, grow, and thrive. This celebration is about honoring the staff, volunteers, nonprofit partners, donors, and community members who helped shape our first 150 years and who will help us create positive impact for the next 150.

As we gather at T-Mobile Park, we celebrate not only the work happening inside our Ys every day, but the broader spirit of community across the greater Seattle region. Together, we recognize the people and organizations who continue to pitch in, show up, and help build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community for all.
