9 Ways to Have Family Fun this Summer!

With camp, family vacations and preparing for the upcoming school-year, summer can feel like a whirlwind of activities! Whether you need to round out your family's summer plans or are looking for easy, low-key ways to have fun together, the Y has you covered with Friendship Fires, Volunteer Projects, Summer Socials and more. 

Auburn Valley YMCA
On the third Friday each month, visit the Auburn Valley YMCA for a free Family Fun Night from 6:00 – 7:00pm! Each month includes fun activities for the whole family centered on a special theme. In July, the theme is Red, White and Blue and in August, the theme is Water Fest!

Coal Creek Family YMCA in Newcastle
Community and Fellowship! Join us for a free Friendship Fire on July 11, July 25, August 1 and August 22 . Roast marshmallows, assemble s'mores and make new friends at these special summer events. 

Meredith Mathews East Madison YMCA in central Seattle
The whole family is encouraged to swim together during Family Swim or Rec Swim. This time is perfect for young swimmers to practice their skills or just play and have fun. Find the pool schedule on our branch page

Snoqualmie Valley YMCA 
Volunteer your time at the Stillwater Bog on July 13 or August 17! The whole family is encouraged to lend a hands as we remove invasive plan species. 

University Family YMCA
Join your YMCA friends and staff for a Member Summer Social and BBQ to celebrate summer at Lower Woodland Park on July 20! We will have lawn games and family fun activities for all. 

West Seattle & Fauntleroy YMCA
Join our Family Programs Supervisor, Alex Wall, and Seattle Aquarium volunteers at Lincoln Park for a Family Excursion. We will explore and learn about the Puget Sound marine ecosystem through hands on activities and lessons during one of the lowest tides of the summer on Thursday, August 1 from 11:00 - 12:30pm.
