Join the Y on Saturday, April 18, 2026, for Healthy Kids Day, a free community event for families. As we celebrate 150 years, we highlight our continued commitment to helping kids and families stay active, connected, and supported. Healthy Kids Day brings that commitment to life through play, movement, family fun, and opportunities to explore what the Y offers for summer and beyond. Join us on Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm!
Activities vary by location. Here's a sampling of what to expect at your local YMCA:
All kids love snacks! Need a little inspiration on some ways to turn your snack into a healthy and yummy treat? We've got some great kid-friendly ideas to share!
Before summer starts, it’s important to brush up on your family’s water safety. Learn how to properly fit a lifejacket, how to throw and not go, and the importance of utilizing a water watcher.
Ready to show off your dribbling and shooting skills? Or try your hand at something new? Get your body moving in a fun sports challenge!
Ready to run, jump, and bounce? So are we! From bounce houses to obstacle courses and more, get ready to move your body and get the wiggles out.
Our camp team will lead you in a super fun camp craft, and be ready to answer any questions about YMCA summer camp.
Join us on April 18 to celebrate Healthy Kids Day at 12 locations across the greater Seattle area.

The YMCA has been the leader in Summer Camp for over 130 years. Over this time, we’ve fine-tuned our programs to meet youth and their families wherever they are in their journey with the outdoors.
As the largest provider of swim lessons in the country, we strive to help all ages learn how to swim, so they can stay safe around water and learn the skills needed to make swimming a lifelong pursuit for healthy living.
With a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, improving health and well-being, and supporting our neighbors, your membership will not just bring about meaningful change in yourself, but also in your community.
