Danielia Barron

Danielia Barron - Executive Director

Danielia was born and raised in the Adirondack mountains of New York state. She started her camping career at Iroquois Springs in Rock Hill, NY, in 2005 as an Outdoor Adventure Specialist and she spent summers in Rock Hill until 2012. She later moved to YMCA Camp Thunderbird in South Carolina until 2017 when she became the Group and Family Retreats Director at the Frost Valley YMCA. She has a BA in Recreation Management from Ithaca College and an MA in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University. Her favorite camp activities are archery, arts and crafts, and campfire. In her free time you might catch her playing with her dogs; Echo, Harbor, and Ember.

Ashley Gibson

Ashley Gibson - Outdoor Environmental Education Director

Ashley began her career in camping at YMCA Camp Gorham in Upstate New York. Since then, Ashley has worked Outdoor Environmental Education in Michigan, California, and, most recently, as the year-round program coordinator at Frost Valley YMCA. Her favorite part of camp is seeing students build connections with nature and with their peers. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys hiking and exploring the PNW!

Nic Caswell

Nic Caswell - Summer Program Director

Nic was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He started his camp career in the summer of 2018 with Kentucky 4-H Camping as an archery instructor. In the years following, he would take on roles as a Challenge Course Facilitator and eventually be an Assistant Program Director in the Summer of 2021. Nic graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration with a minor in outdoor leadership, and then a Master of Science in Recreation & Sport Administration with a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Administration. Nic's favorite camp activities include ropes, archery, and meal times! In his free time, he loves to go fly fishing, play Magic: The Gathering, and go bird watching!

Sumer Odom

Sumer Odom - Summer Program Director

Sumer grew up just south of Cincinnati, Ohio and started her camp experience as a ten year old camper at YMCA Camp Ernst, where she then worked for 10 summers! Over her years in the summer camp industry, she has worked at or provided volunteer programming at 11 different camps across the country. Sumer received a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration with a minor in Outdoor Leadership and her Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Kentucky University. Her favorite camp activities are early bird hikes, anything arts and crafts, and embers. Outside of camp, Sumer enjoys traveling, photography, and training her dogs, Cash and Vader.

Connie Fechner - Food Service Director

Connie has been Camp Colman’s Food Service Director since 2002. Connie has a passion for mentoring local teens from the key peninsula and teaching them cooking skills as well as life skills at camp. Connie enjoys being creative with the menu for schools and groups and works hard to cater to guest and staff needs. She looks forward to continuing her work here at Colman and she is excited to see camp grow as a whole in the coming years! Fun Fact: Connie and her husband Jeff got married on Colman’s beach in 2008!

Andrew Youngchild

Andrew Youngchild - Facilities Director

Born and raised in the south sound Andrew Youngchild comes from a Parks and Recreation career in Tacoma. As Facilities Director here at Camp Colman he provides a wide variety of grounds and facility experience to help create a memorable experience for guests. Andrew is a husband and father with a love for games and imagination.
