The Kent YMCA is Now Open!
On Saturday, September 14, hundreds of people from the greater Kent community joined us at our ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the long-awaited Kent Y. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the people who made this a reality. After 10 years of planning, fundraising, partnership collaboration, and construction, our 50,000 square foot building opened its doors to new and old neighbors.

Jump into the Community Pool
Your family can join us at the new Kent Y aquatic center! Little ones can walk into our zero-depth wading pool and aquatic park. More confident swimmers can play and have fun in our family-friendly pool. Swim teams and lap swimmers can jump into our six-lane 25-meter lap pool! Looking to just relax? Take a dip in our hot tub.

Something for Everyone
We intentionally designed programming and hired staff that reflect our evolving, diverse, Kent community. The Kent Y is a place where all people can be themselves, improve their health and well-being, and connect with health-minded people. Our multi-purpose center offers community gathering spaces, swimming lessons, healthy-cooking classes, expanded school-aged childcare, enrichment programs for children, youth, and teens, mental health and counseling services, and through a partnership with the City of Kent, will develop outdoor activities and other program opportunities at the adjacent Morrill Meadows Park.

Whether you live in Kent, Bellevue, Bothell, or Seattle, the opening of the Kent Y is big news for everyone. As the fourteenth branch in the YMCA of Greater Seattle, we look forward to providing a safe place where all kids find fun and purpose, adults find health and wellness support, and where active older adults can spend time with others staying strong and healthy into their later years. We are excited to offer a space where all can reach their full potential in mind, body, and spirit.
