Preschool campers will love engaging in hands-on learning, exploration, and making new friends in our safe and structured Minis Camp. Caring and trained Y camp counselors lead art projects, sing-a-longs, fun games, and outdoor activities for all to enjoy.

What days and hours is Minis Camp?

Minis Camps runs Monday–Friday for three-hours in duration. Actual times vary by location.

  • Bellevue Family Y: 1:00–4:00 pm
  • Coal Creek Family Y: 1:30–4:30 pm
  • Dale Turner Family Y: 1:00–4:00 pm
  • Kent Y: 1:30–4:30 pm
  • Meredith Mathews East Madison Y: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Northshore Y: 1:00–4:00 pm
  • Sammamish Community Y: 1:00–4:00 pm
  • Snoqualmie Valley Y: 1:00–4:00 pm
  • West Seattle Family Y: 12:30–3:30 pm

 

Is my mini the right age for camp?

If your kiddo will be age 3–5 years old by the first day of the your camp session, then yes, they can be a mini camper!

If your child turns age 3 after June 26, you will need to call our registration team for an override at (206) 382-5022 as our system recognizes ages by the start of summer in June rather than specific weekly sessions.

How soon can I sign my mini up for camp?

Registration for day camp will open in March as follows:

  • March 1 at 6:00 am: 2022 Day Camp participants, current Before & After-School Enrichment and Early Education participants
  • March 8 at 6:00 am: Facility Members of the YMCA of Greater Seattle
  • March 22 at 6:00 am: Open to all, including interest list

Weekly camp registration closes on the Wednesday prior to the camp session at 5:00 pm. For example, for camp starting on July 10, registration would close on July 5 at 5:00 pm.

Does the Y offer financial assistance for Minis?

Yes, the Y is committed to ensuring all families have access to quality and enriching camp programs. The Y provides financial assistance and a sliding fee schedule.

What is the fee to attend Minis Camp?

Five-day weekly fees: $150 for Y members or $200 for Community members

A deposit of $15 per week, per camper is due upon registration. Payments draft on the Saturday two weeks prior to each camp. For example, for camp starting on July 10, payment would draft on July 1.

Does my child need to be potty trained?

Yes, your child needs to be potty trained or wearing pull-ups and close to accident-free to attend Minis Camp. If you have specific questions about your child's readiness, please email us at registration@seattleymca.org or call (206) 382-4927.

My child will have a birthday before camp starts and will meet the age criteria, how do I sign them up now?

For this camp, your child must age 3 by the first day that they attend. Our registration system recognizes the age of your child on the very first meeting date of summer, in late June.

If you are receiving an age error but meet the criteria for the camp, please reach out to us at registration@seattleymca.org with your camper's name, date of birth, requested camp location and a good number to contact you at for follow up. Thanks for your patience.

What is your cancellation or change policy?

For cancellations, changes, or transfers, we require written notice via this form by end of day on Wednesday, 12 days prior to the start of the session week. For example, for camp starting on July 10, cancellations must be made by June 28.

Camp deposits are non-refundable and may not be transferred to account balances except for other camp programs. The Y reserves the right to charge a $25 fee for multiple registration changes. No refunds or credits will be given for absences, withdrawals, disciplinary suspensions, or removal of a camper.

Failure to complete requirements for attendance, including paperwork and payment, that result in days missed from camp will not be refunded or credited.
