INGREDIENTS

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3-4 ounces lox (cold smoked salmon)
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 1 small bunch fresh dill, torn
  • ¼ red onion, very thinly sliced
  • Everything but the bagel seasoning blend
  • ½ English cucumber, sliced
  • 3-4 bagels, sliced vertically into rounds
  • Whole grain crackers

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. On a wooden board, drop spoonsful of softened cream cheese in dots all across the board.
  2. Use the back side of a spoon to spread and flatten each dot of cream cheese – leaving a 1-2” border bare around the edges of the board.
  3. Tear or slice the lox into small strips and arrange on top of cream cheese.
  4. Sprinkle with lemon zest, capers, torn dill, red onion and a pinch or two of seasoning blend.
  5. Arrange the cucumber, bagel slices and crackers around the lox mixture.
  6. Allow guests to scoop up the mixture onto the bagels, crackers or cucumbers.
