This past year, 21 Garfield High School seniors celebrated an exciting milestone – graduating from Y Scholars and acceptance into college. Through Y Scholars, students of African descent receive academic and social support during all four years of high school, preparing them for future college success and helping them reach their fullest potential.

Every single student graduated and was accepted to college, compared to 74 percent on-time graduation and 60% college enrollment rates for African-American students in South Seattle schools.
