Private Swim Lessons
An individualized approach to building and perfecting swim skills and water safety.
12/08/2020 Update - Governor Inslee announced new guidelines that prohibit facilities like ours from offering indoor fitness through Monday, January 4, 2021. The guidelines do not prohibit the use of pools. At this time, there is no change to your upcoming swim lesson. We will continue to operate within Safe Start guidelines, including mask-wearing, social distancing, and frequent cleaning
Join us in the pool to learn the basics or refine your stroke, practice your breathing, or elevate your turns!
Registration opens on the 15th of every month at 12:01 am for the next month of lessons.
Swimmers of the same skill level and on the same household membership may sign up for a semi-private swim lesson to practice and learn skills together.
Swim instructors must remain on the side of the pool at all times due to requirements in the Governor's Safe Start Plan.
If a student cannot swim 25 yards unsupported, a supervising adult from the same household membership must accompany the student in the pool and lead them through activities.
Please select the branch location where you would like to attend the private swim lesson to start the registration process.
Here's how we'll work together to keep you and fellow swimmers safe during your visit. Click the "Learn More" button below for more information about safely visiting the Y.
Please bring what you'll need from home, including towels and goggles. Instructional equipment will be limited to kick boards, kick sticks, and pull buoys and will be disinfected between users.
Beginning October 18, locker rooms will be open to swimmers only. To maintain a safe distance, please limit one family or individual to each aisle at a time.
The path to the pool and procedure on the deck has changed to create one-way traffic and reduce touchpoints. If you're not sure about something, please ask a staff member!
Face coverings are required at all times unless you're in the pool. This includes in locker or changing rooms. We'll have a dry place to store your belongings on the pool deck while you're in the water.
We've made it easier than ever to find member and account information with our new Support Center. Find instructions for managing your account, easy access to request forms, and a complete list of our policies all in one place.
On-demand exercise, classes taught on livestream, activities for the whole family, and much more are now available through the Y. Take a short video tour to learn more about engaging with the Y from home.
With a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, improving health and well-being, and supporting our neighbors, your membership will not just bring about meaningful change in yourself, but also in your community.
