Private Swim Lessons
An individualized approach to building and perfecting swim skills and water safety.
Join us in the pool to learn the basics or refine your stroke, practice your breathing, or elevate your turns!
Registration opens on the 15th of every month at 6:00 am for the next month of lessons.
Swimmers of the same skill level and same household membership may sign up for a semi-private swim lesson to practice and learn skills together.
Swim Instructors will be wearing face masks throughout the duration of swim lessons. Staff will also be disinfecting all touch points and equipment before every lesson.
Whether beginner or advanced, private lessons are a great option for all ages and abilities with a one-on-one personalized approach.
Please select the branch location where you would like to attend the private swim lesson to start the registration process.
Here's how we'll work together to keep you and fellow swimmers safe during your visit. Click the "Learn More" button below for more information about safely visiting the Y.
Please bring what you'll need from home, including towels and goggles. Instructional equipment will be limited to kick boards, kick sticks, and pull buoys and will be disinfected between users.
Please limit one family or individual to each aisle at a time and maintain at least 6 foot distance between you and others not in your household.
The path to the pool and procedure on the deck has changed to create one-way traffic and reduce touchpoints. If you're not sure about something, please ask a staff member!
Face coverings are required in the building and on the pool deck for kids and adults ages 5 and up. We'll have a dry place to store your belongings on the pool deck while you're in the water. Masks are not allowed while in the water while swimming.
There is nothing more important to us than the safety of you, our members, our staff, and our volunteers. Guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), local health agencies, and public officials has been critical as we've updated our policies and planned for your return.

Per the CDC, the virus cannot be transmitted through properly treated water. Our pool chemicals are always maintained within the required ranges set by the health department. Should our water ever go outside of that range, we do close down the pool until the water is safe to swim in again.
No, we are not allowing swim participants to wear masks in the water as it presents a safety hazard.

During the registration process for the first swimmer, you will be asked if there is a second swimmer taking a lesson. Choose yes and then you will be asked to provide the name of the second swimmer.
Swimmers will have full access to locker rooms and/or family changing rooms. Please utilize whichever space best fits your family’s needs.
A supervising adult in the pool is no longer required for beginners. If a supervising adult chooses to accompany their student, they can expect to lead the swimmer through skills as directed by the swim instructor.
To limit our building capacity, we are limiting the number of guests on the deck to one parent or guardian per swim lesson student.
We've made it easier than ever to find member and account information with our new Support Center. Find instructions for managing your account, easy access to request forms, and a complete list of our policies all in one place.
