Single mom Dawn was struggling. She couldn’t find work or a safe place for her and her daughter to sleep, and the recent loss of her grandfather only made life more unbearable.

But with your support, the Y was able to provide a network of resources to help Dawn improve her situation. Now employed, she trusts the Y Hang Time program to provide her daughter with a safe place to go after school, with caring, positive mentors.

And her daughter, a thriving, confident tween, gives back and makes a difference in the lives of others as a Y volunteer.

“The Y helped ease my family’s struggles,” says Dawn. “Now I can be a good role model to my daughter.”
