The YMCA of Greater Seattle considers the Kent Y, opening September 2019, to be one of its most important initiatives of a generation. Kent is an area rich in cultural and economic diversity, and this facility will be the first nonprofit community center within Kent, the sixth largest city in Washington state.

It has been Bob’s vision to build new Ys on the seam in the community, where it can attract and serve citizens from all walks of life, regardless of ethnicity, race, age, or economic circumstances. We believe that the Kent Y will positively impact the community for generations to come and serve as a model for others to emulate.

An appropriate interior space will be dedicated to Bob to honor his vision of inclusion and equity. We hope you will help us get this capital project over the finish line with a gift of support.
