Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic year and it’s a very special month for Muslims throughout the world. It is a holy month filled with lots of traditions and celebrations such as fasting, prayer, reflection, and giving to charity. Ramadan lasts for around thirty days and follows the lunar (moon) calendar. After the last day of Ramadan, a three-day festival, Eid-al-Fitr is held where families and friends gather together to celebrate. To wish someone a happy Ramadan you can say “Ramadan Mubarak!”

Try any or all of these  activities to observe Ramadan or learn more about it:

  1. Moon Sighting Binoculars
