On May 15, 2021, the YMCA of Greater Seattle partnered with No More Under, a local nonprofit, to distribute 100 free Coast Guard approved life jackets!

Over 40 families visited a local YMCA to pick up their free jackets, learned more about water safety, and took the family pledge to be safe around water.

“The summer of 2020 saw some of the highest rates of drowning due to lack of access to formal swimming lessons and safety guarded aquatic environments," said Kyle Kamman, the Program Executive for Aquatics at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. "At the Y, we want to ensure all people have a safe swimming experience. Partnering with No More Under is an exciting way we can ensure our community is safe in and around the water."
