It’s a new week, a new month has arrived, and you are moving and motivated to continue to live your best life! Speak it into existence! If that’s not the case that’s okay! You’ve come to the right place to get motivated and get moving!

Working out can increase your energy levels, reduce stress and produce confidence to tackle whatever upcoming tasks you have on your plate this week. We have compiled a list of 8 activities that you can do across the Y of Greater Seattle.

8 Activities to Get Moving This Week

1. Go for a swim!

Swimming provides a low impact, full body workout. It builds endurance, muscle strength and it helps maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart, and lungs.

2. Attend a cycling class

You are in control of the bike resistance, so the class is accessible to a wide range of exercise abilities.

3. Adult Recess

During this class participant in this group work hard, but they play harder. Hula hoop, boot camp, dance, Pilates, strength, step, dodgeball, jump rope... you can try it all.

Maximize your time by getting a complete workout in one class! This format alternates timed intervals of strength and cardio segments, in a group or with rotating stations.

5. Flow into a Yoga class

Yoga Flow classes strive to maintain awareness and focus on the breath while moving through a series of poses. This style of yoga builds heat, flexibility, and strength while maintaining focus on good alignment.

6. Don’t have a lot of time? No sweat, go to Above The Barre Express

This is a challenging and unique workout designed to sculpt and strengthen your entire body as well as increase flexibility. *Express classes are shortened versions of full classes.
