Try these awesome ideas for creatively expressing yourselves!

Imagine

The Seattle Children’s Museum is a great place for imagination to come to life (it’s even part of their slogan!).  In addition, many museums the whole family will love are free to visit on the first Thursday of every month including the Museum of History and Industry, The Museum of Flight, and The Seattle Art Museum.

Create

Make some fun arts & crafts at home inspired by our favorite magical and mystical creatures. From unicorns to fairies to completely open-ended process art activities, enjoy the experience of creation together.

Play

Play a fun game of Family Charades, turn some bowls and spoons into a jammin’ band, or simply pull out some boxes and art supplies and take your imagination on an adventure.

Read

Many of this month’s themed activities in Kids Zone tie to the classic book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.  Check out your own copy, read it as family, and then try some cool crafts  that Max would be proud of!  Once you finish Where the Wild Things Are, visit your local library to check out a pile of great books that will spark imagination.
