Swim Basics - Stage 1 Water Acclimation - Youth

In this class, swimmers ages 5 to 12 will develop comfort with underwater exploration and learn to exit safely if they fall into a body of water. No previous experience in swimming lessons or pool environments is required. Swimmers will practice and develop the following skills: bob to submerge in water; front and back glide to the wall for five feet with no assistance; front and back float for ten seconds with assistance; roll from back to front and front to back with assistance; jump, push, turn, and grab with assistance; swim, float, swim ten feet with assistance; exit the water.
