There's still time: GiveBIG extended through tonight

If you were unable to give yesterday or would like to continue to stretch your donation dollars, the Seattle Foundation will continue to stretch donations made through midnight tonight on their website. We have been assured that systems have returned to normal.

When you donate to the Y through the Seattle Foundation through today, you support critical programming the Y provides to your local community--all while stretching your dollars, since a portion of your gift will be matched by The Seattle Foundation donors.

This is a moment to work and give together – through donations large and small – making Greater Seattle a healthier and more vibrant community for all. GiveBIG is a one-day event designed to raise money so that nonprofit organizations, like the Y, can continue to create equality of opportunity in our region. Let's make a difference. Together. Click the photo above to make or schedule a donation.

Online registration is now available! Click the blue "REGISTER NOW" button on the left to register online. You may still register by phone, by mail. You can also scan/email a registration form to us at Have questions? Give us a call at 206.382.5009 and we'll be happy to talk camp with you!

   It Takes a Village

Are you looking for ways to stay connected with camp during the summer? Come volunteer with us! Volunteers are essential to all aspects of our Y camps. Contributing as a volunteer offers on-going engagement with camp and helps to move our mission forward! There are several opportunities for summer support both at camp and in the Seattle area:

Camp Nurse for Week of Summer

Volunteer nurses staff our summer health huts. This position requires an RN and a commitment of one-week, where you’d stay on the premises, getting to enjoy the beauty and activity of camp while supporting the medical and first aid needs of campers. For more information, contact Summer Camp Director, Jeremy Plane:

Check-in Location Support (Lice Checker)

Help check-in campers at our bus check-in location in SeaTac. This commitment is for at least 4 Sunday afternoons throughout the summer where you’ll help staff check camper heads for lice before giving them the OK to board the bus. This is a Seattle-based opportunity. For more information or additional opportunities, please contact Jen Hitt, Community Engagement Director:

Our goal is to bring camp to your friends and neighbors.

Want to share with friends and family the excitement and joy camp has to offer in the comfort of your living room? Let us bring camp to YOU!
With a presentation by our professional camp staff, share the variety of benefits that an overnight experience at YMCA Camp Colman has to offer.  Ask all your questions to our directors, and learn why camp is a great opportunity for your child to discover, learn and grow.
