The Y Neightborhood
Garden at the University Y is a volunteer-led project that provides fresh
vegetables for Y members, members of the community and for food programs
serving homeless teens at the Y. Through the support of the incredible
team of member volunteers, Seattle Tilth, and volunteer groups including Glant
Real Estate and Vision 16 from the UW, the garden is in great shape for the
summer. In April, the produce from the winter crops was harvested and
part of it was used for a salad to share with homeless teens at a Sunday meal.
