Make a Healthy Change with ACT!
ACT! (Actively Changing Together) is offered in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital and helps overweight youth and their families establish healthy eating habits and incorporate physical activity into their daily routines. It is an interactive, supportive 12 week program that meets once a week. Sessions for children 8-11 and 12-14 years old are offered at various Y's as well as the Lake City Community Center.
Children must have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 85% or higher for their age and have a doctor's referral to register for the program. Referral form available here. Sessions are free and open to community participants.
