Global Service gives adults an opportunity to support development work in other countries. Currently the Seattle YMCA has three opportunities for an international experience.

Rebuilding Communities in Japan: The Seattle YMCA is sending small groups of volunteers to assist with rebuilding of those Japanese communities devastated by the 2010 tsunami. These efforts are being coordinated by YMCA partners in Japan.

Thailand Work Camp: Young adults from the Seattle area and other parts of the US join volunteers from Kobe, Japan and Laos to provide facility improvements to poor communities that are supported by the Chiang Mai YMCA. This trip occurs in the spring.

Vietnam: Seattle YMCA adults join others from Houston and Kentucky YMCAs for a cultural and service experience in Vietnam. The 2012 summer program will be announced in November.
