 Why the Y?

Volunteering through the YMCA is a unique opportunity to gain experience working in teams with our staff and members. Contributing to your community not only builds your character but can enrich the lives of all those you come in contact with.

Volunteer positions with the YMCA are a great way to gain communication skills.  You will get the chance to work with culturally diverse people and learn what it's like to work in large organizations, all while having a good time with your peers.

 How Can I Help?

Do you have a unique set of skills and want to share your knowledge? Great! The YMCA hosts a range of educational seminars such as teaching music, dance, and art for any age - youth, young adults, and older adults. Leading a fun, educational workshop is a great way for you to give back to your community.

The Dale Turner Family YMCA is a large facility with many moving parts. We are always looking for interested volunteers to help us with our day to day task that will help us keep this facility running smoothly. Check out our list of volunteer opportunities and find something you would like. If nothing fits your fancy or you have an idea of something you would like to do, let us know. We always work to ensure our volunteers have an enriching experience at the Y.
