1. All currently available vaccines in the U.S. have been shown to be safe and effective at preventing the disease.
2. The vaccine can also help you to keep from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19.
3. COVID-19 vaccines do NOT cause the disease because they do not contain the live virus.
4. Getting vaccinated may also protect people around you, particularly people at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
5. The more people that get vaccinated, the more difficult it is for the virus to spread and mutate, contributing to herd immunity.
