With all the changes in Seattle, we'll take a moment to appreciate other booming times in Seattle's history. We'll start our time in Pioneer Square with a visit to the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park to learn about Seattle's role in the stampede to Yukon gold. After lunch at a restaurant nearby, we'll walk to the Smith Tower to view exhibits explaining its importance to Seattle and the U.S. in 1914, then ride the elevator to the top to the observation deck for a 360-degree view. We'll find easy transportation on Sound Transit Express route 522 from the Woodinville Park and Ride, the beginning of the route. Look for the YMCA sign at the park and ride to find Y staff and other participants to ride with. For more information and the itinerary of the day, please click the "REGISTER NOW" button.
