Outdoor Movie - Queen of Katwe

Join us for the West Seattle Outdoor Movies on our festival street. We'll have event entertainment, vendors, activities, and prize raffles.

"Queen of Katwe" is the colorful true story of a young girl selling corn on the streets of rural Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess, and, as a result of the support she receives from her family and community, is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion.

Parking: Parking is free in both parking lots and street parking. There is limited parking spaces so please carpool, bike, walk or bus.

What to Bring: Our outdoor cinema packing list includes low back lawn chairs or blankets, friends, family, dogs and money for fun and food.

Times: Seating opens at 6:30 pm. Event entertainment, trivia and activity times vary. Movies show at dusk after event entertainment.

Food: Come hungry and get your grub on before the movie in our community kitchen. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted.

Trivia: Movie trivia gets you thinking before each film and offers the chance to win great prizes

Game Show Events: A variety of entertaining game show style events will take place for prizes.

Dog Friendly: Well behaved dogs and owners are always welcome.
