To recognize Black History month in February, we'll visit the Northwest African American Museum that works to present and preserve the connections between the Pacific Northwest and people of African descent and to investigate and celebrate Black experiences in America through exhibitions, programs and events. Before our guided tour, we'll have lunch at FareStart Cafe which helps people who have been homeless, previously incarcerated, or in recovery overcome the barriers to employment by developing the work and life skills they need to have lifelong careers.
