Workshop - Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra

Take time for yourself. Tap into a state of deep relaxation. Restorative yoga is a gentle practice. Students rest in supported postures for 3 - 5 minutes. The practice is in the Being in the posture without effort. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation where students lie or sit in a comfortable supported posture for 20 - 25 minutes. Students listen to verbal instructions that bring awareness to different areas of the physical, mental, and energetic body - welcoming what is present. The practice of yoga has been found to reduce tension and anxiety. In the process, discover and connect to that which is always peaceful and at ease within. Eat sparingly one or more hours before class. Wear comfortable clothing to practice in. All levels are welcome to this gentle yoga practice.
