What better way to give yourself a Valentine's treat?
The class will follow the first of the yogic ideals, Ahimsa- non harming to yourself and other through kind, loving thoughts and actions. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with posture, or asana, performed seated on the floor or lying down. The poses are held for longer periods of time, sometimes 3-5 minutes and in some cases up to 20 minutes! It is the perfect complement to more active forms of yoga, or other fitness regimes, as it offers deeper access to our connective tissues, fascia and ligaments with the aim of lubricating and protecting our joints.
