AOA Forest Bathing at North Creek Forest

North Creek Forest is located between downtown Bothell and the west side of 405, very close to the Northshore YMCA. "Friends of the North Creek Forest" is the non-profit group that works to restore the forest and provide educational experiences in the forest. They offer Forest Bathing walk once a month.Forest Bathing walks are less than ½ a mile long. The main goals are not physical exercise or learning forest facts. Downshift. Be still. Let the healing sounds, colors, shapes, and smells of the forest wash over you. The guide starts with a brief safety talk. After a breathing exercise to help you transition into a calm, receptive mindset, the guide offers mini activities?called invitations?to help you turn up the volume on your senses. You can accept these invitations, or not. Either way, each invitation is followed by silence, during which participants can simply ?be? in the forest. After a short while, the guide calls the group together and invites visitors to share their experiences. There is no obligation to share. For more information:… of 5 participants required to hold the walk. Walk goes rain or shine. Registration closes on June 1. Dress for the weather with closed-toe shoes and long pants/long-sleeved shirts to protect skin from branches. The meet up location is 10654 NE 204th Pl., Bothell WA, 98011.Do not block any driveways as you will be parking in a neighborhood.Look for the group at the top of the staircase.(See flyer at the YMCA for a map.)If you would like to make a donation to the Friends of the North Creek Forest, use this link:
