In this two-week program, campers build on basic kayak skills, learning new paddle strokes and kayak rescues. Campers will also learn to read tide and current tables to play a bigger role in planning their own experience. The group will take those skills to the water, paddling through the San Juan Islands by day and camping on different islands each night. All participants must demonstrate a wet-exit and re-entry with their paddle partner before embarking on the course. No previous experience is required. Co-ed, entering grades 9-12 in Fall of 2018.
