AOA Legacy Writing Workshop

This 6-part workshop will introduce participants to different methods and reasons for sharing family and personal stories and provide support and feedback to complete one or more legacy pieces.

Participants will receive a guide for working on their projects during and after the workshop. After the first meeting, each class will include time for sharing projects and receiving guidance for further writing. Participants need to bring their own pens/pencils and paper or spiral notebooks.
Workshop leader Mary Resnick who has led many similar workshops for our Y over the past few years. She writes about her family's history, special family moments, and family member biographies as a way to connect generations, communicate values, and preserve history. She is very supportive of all efforts to record stories and feels that everyone has a story to tell.
Mary will collect completed projects at the end of the workshop series. Each participant's projects will be bound together for that participant.
