Dr. King and the Y

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday is a day of celebration for his life and legacy, a day we mark by locking arms in solidarity, living his principles in our work every day, and doing our part to pave the road to equity and justice for all. On this national holiday, we encourage you to use this “day off” as a “day on” to serve and advance Dr. King's commitment to community by volunteering with the Y in service to others.

Rooted in the Y

Before he inspired millions, before he spoke of a nation built on equity and justice, before he changed the world, Dr. King was just a kid at the Y.
