Colman - Teen Leadership Camps

All gender, entering grades 9-11 in the fall 2020
This program is for teens entering grades 9-11 who have not participated in teen leadership programs at Camp Colman previously and are interested in personal growth and learning about leadership. Participants will get an introduction to leadership, teamwork and working with children by participating in an engaging, fun program working directly with their LDI Director and the Teen Program Director. Participants are housed in our yurts.

Session A1: June 28 - July 11
Session C1: July 12-25 
Session E1: August 2-15
 

All gender, entering grades 10-12 in the fall of 2020
This program is for teens entering grades 10-12 who have previously participated in the JL or CIT program at Camp Colman and are interested in exploring what it’s like to be a camp leader, building on skills developed in the program previously. Participants will work directly with the Teen Program Director to increase their leadership skills and gain further experience in working with children. Participants will also work with cabin counselors, living in cabin groups, and supporting counselors to further gain experience in camp leadership.

Specialty opportunity for Advanced LDI participants who will be entering grade 12 in 2020
Upon successful completion of your Advanced LDI session in 2020 - you will have the opportunity to come back and participate in an all new Counselor in Training program August 16-29, 2020. In this program you will get more direct hands-on experience assisting with cabin leadership and leading camp program activities to get a better feel for what it’s like to be a camp counselor.

*This program is exclusively offered to Advanced LDI participants entering grade 12, and more information will be provided once accepted into the Advanced LDI program.
