A speaker from the U.S. Bone and Joint Initiative will present over Zoom the basics of bone health and how bone quality can deteriorate as people age or at any age due to other health factors. The presentation will cover racial and ethnic differences along with the prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis. The incidence of fractures from falls in the U.S. was declining, but in recent years, this improvement has reversed. You will take away messages useful to start discussions with your health care provider.
