2016 Accelerator YMCA Impact Report

Accelerator YMCA 2017-2020 Strategic Plan

To move the mission of the Accelerator Y forward, we’ve outlined four objectives we plan to meet by 2020.

1. Ensure young people who have experienced adverse circumstances get the high-impact and measurable support they need to be safe, successful and happy.
2. Advance equity within the Accelerator YMCA and the YMCA of Greater Seattle.
3. Increase advocacy for issues that are impacting young people and families in our community.
4. Develop and maintain a diverse and sustainable group of volunteers and donors.

Brooke Knight

Executive Director

Brooke has been with the Y since 2007. Her career focus has been on giving people the tools, resources and support they need to become self-sufficient and stable. She started her career as a Community Development Volunteer with the US Peace Corps in Ghana before spending the last 13 years focused primarily on housing and homeless issues for chronically homeless adults, families and youth, first in the Bay Area and for the past seven years in Seattle.

Roger Iino

Associate Executive Director

Roger Iino has over 40 years of experience in the Behavioral Health, Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare service fields. He has been a Peer Reviewer for the Council on Accreditation, a national accrediting body for behavioral health and other children and family service organizations and was on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Children’s Residential Centers. Prior to joining Accelerator YMCA, he was part of the executive leadership for Ryther Child Center and, most recently, Therapeutic Health Services in Seattle.
