Social Justice Saturdays- 13th Screening

13th is a 2016 American documentary by director Ava DuVernay. The film is titled after the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which outlawed slavery (unless as punishment for a crime). DuVernay's documentary argues that slavery is being effectively perpetuated through mass incarceration.

The film viewing with be followed by a panel discussion featuring Seattle based community organizers. This event is open to the Public. 12pm-4pm.
