Black History Month: West African Dance

We are proud to welcome Kokou Al'Nuzan Gbakenou to the Matt Griffin Y for the month of February for a West African Dance residency. This is a great opportunity to learn the history of West African culture as we celebrate Black History Month.
In this class you'll learn the traditional and contemporary West African Dance, integrating elements of Capoeira, hip hop, and contemporary pan-African dance movements.
